The Trip home before the Torture began...

I made a lot of little entries during my 5 days in Los Angeles. The entries were just brief illustrations of my days so that I can remember what happened each day (because after time, small details become a blur). I wish I had so much more time with my loved ones in Los Angeles and I treasure the time I was able to spend with everyone I was able to see. I was so happy that I could be there for my Sister's Baby Shower. It was so magical!

Here are my entries from my trip:

"Thursday July 15, 2021, Kristen and Gabs picked me up from the airport with Andrea! We grabbed Gen Korean BBQ and my mom met us. Omg have I been dying for some real good food! I then got to surprise Sally, the kids, and mama!! That was incredible!

Friday July 16, 2021, I got to see Eli, Judah, Sarah, and Jason. I missed them so much! I also got to see Rach and Papa and Agnes and Aunt Ta came. They also surprised me with LB. aunt Ta cut my hair, took 18 inches off. It’s never been this short before and we shaved the undercut! It’s a wild feeling. Papa went allll out. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken, chips with salsa and guacamole and charcuterie and a cherry campfire cobbler! It was all so delicious!!! I also joked with LB about my cancer… about being hairless and how if I become hairless all over my body id be the next chemo spokesperson “Tired of shaving and done want to wax but want to be silky smooth? CHEMO!”

Saturday July 17, 2021: I had breakfast with my mom, and Sal at More than Waffles and Sal surprised me with Gabby and Cindy! It was so amazing to see them! It was delicious and I got my chilaquiles.

Sunday July 18, 2021: I got to see Randy and had a wonderful breakfast at Breakfast Republic. Then I got to go to Malibu and see my cousins Ian, Bri, and Luna. She is the first ever! After that I got to see and reconnect with Kariann which was so nice!! When I got home, I was in bed with my sister, and I got to feel my niece Faith kick and move around!! I cried. It was incredible!!

Monday July 19, 2021: I had a wonderful breakfast with Malynnda and Kyle at Dinah’s. It was a lot of fun! I got to see Miss Kelly after that! Now I’m on the flight from Vegas back to Baltimore. This travel has been so brutal. It has taken so much out of me. I don’t like this feeling. The feeling that things I can normally do so effortlessly are so difficult now."

Straight from the Airport on Monday July 19, 2021, I headed home for a nap and then went straight to the hospital for some tests before I had my Echocardiogram and Port Implantation on July 22, 2021.
